Just a few random thoughts:
Last weekend @ Union - several of the boys were disappointed that we did not take all 4 games.
It was cold both days, so what else is new?? We are getting used to playing in the cold!!
Starting pitching did a great job, as did all the pitchers!!
Defense continues to be solid, offense was good, the Union pitcher who threw the 1 hitter did a good job of keeping our boys off stride by mixing up his pitches very well.
Thanks to David Little for supplying the balloons for our side bleachers!!
Thanks to the Guzskis for the tomato pie!!
Thanks to the Brocks for the cookies!!
Thanks to Nina Kahovec for putting together the candy bags!!
We played RIT twice this week and shut them out both days!! 13-0 and 2-0
Obviously, the pitching was again great and defense aided the cause. We took advantage of several errors in the 1st game and made 2 runs stand up in the 2nd game!
This weekend RPI comes to town!! This could be the biggest series of the year!! AND you guessed it the forecast is for cold and wet!! Several of us are talking about getting together somewhere after the Saturday games?? Is anyone interested?? Does anyone have a suggestion for a place?? Just an inpromptu get together!!
Congratulations to Andy Cannon, Liberty League Rookie of the week and Jay Jay Vanderstyne, who was named Rochester Area player of the week.
Hope to see many of you this weekend!!
