Anyone else feel the national anthem should be sung before the start of games? I think this is important and frankly it felt strange to not do so this weekend before the doubleheader. Didn't we do this last year? I always find it quite stirring to do so. Also I think it would be nice to have a flagpole and the 'Stars and Stripes' flying above the outfield wall. Would be a nice assist to gauge wind direction and velocity for the players / coaches also. If all agree I would be glad to bring this forward with U of R staff.

I agree, it is a baseball tradition and I was also surprised that it was not played prior to the start of the game. The flag is a great idea! A flagpole out in center field that was tall enough to be easily noticed beyond the fence, would be great!

Does anyone else have any ideas???

I agree completely and it reinforces patriotism for our players. Cost is going to be an issue.
