Andy Cannon has been recognized by ESPN the magazine for its Academic All-District Team for Baseball. He carries a 3.67 cumulative GPA, in addition to his great baseball playing. Division 3 is the combination of Academics and Athletics, but at a school like U of R, the Academic load is much more rigorous than at most other D3 schools. For our boys to put in the time necessary to play well and to maintain their grades is quite a feat that will serve them well in the future!

Thanks for the nice words!! Shirl and I are really proud of Andy, and also of the other kids on the team. These young men have so much to offer our society now, and in the future, its hard to believe they have grown so quickly.
UR has been a great experience for our son, and he has made a whole bunch of friends! In many ways it is sad that the families we have come to know, we will not see much of any more, or at all. You have all been great to our son and to us. I hope this blog can be our future line of communication for a long, long time to come.
