Skype the RPI Game

Skype is a free program available at http://www.skype.com/download/skype/windows/ (there is a Mac version also). I have used this for over a year to talk for free via the computer; even to Spain. If you put this on your computer and create an account (free), you can do a search for my Skype name patti.sullivan1 then we will be able to talk (free) during the game. We can even connect multiple people through the same conversation so several parents can listen to the game at the same time. If anyone wants to give this a try, we should test it ahead of time. Send me an email psullivan@hilton.k12.ny.us or give me a call. If this works, I can only promise that I'm a really lousy announcer so hopefully other parents at the game will help me out.

Patti,

Great job with Skype today and an assist to Jim Ludwig! Patti was able to talk to Laurie Parker in Florida and Rich Cannon in Chicago, live from the game! As close to being there without actually being there!!

Thanks for the effort, FYI Patti will be on skype for game 1 tomorrow!

It was great being able to share the game with Rich Cannon (Illinois) and Laurie Parker (Florida). I know how much I appreciated when other parents helped out when my kids were out of state or out of country so it's nice to be able to "pay it forward" to other parents. A big thanks to Jim Ludwig who let me borrow his Verizon Air card so we could get online since the UR wireless was too weak to carry the signal. It's a team effort!
