Yellowjackets - Spring Training - Florida

Hello to all!!!!!

To those of you who were in Florida this week, it was great seeing you all again!! Shirl and I really enjoyed the company and conversations!!! To those families that couldn't attend, well lets just say that we missed you and hope some day soon, we will be together.

The team looked great in spite of a few losses, and should continue toward a very successful season. The unity and brotherhood of those kids, excuse me, men, really speaks volumes of the parents, coaches, work ethic, and intelligence of those men. I am so thrilled that my son associates with, and plays baseball with all of your sons.

I personally will miss all of the baseball chatter and critiquing and second guessing that we all did. I also really like "keeping the book" during the games. I am notorious for this, even from Andy's high school days. I love baseball, I love watching Andy play baseball, and I love you all!! You, the families of the Yellowjackets baseball team, have made Andy, Shirl and myself fell welcome and a part of something very special that our boys are involved in. Thank you!

I hope that I can find the opportunity of being in Rochester this season for some games. I plan on being in Troy for the RPI series, AND in Rochester for the Liberty League Tournament!!!

Love you all. GO YELLOWJACKETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone! Kevin and I enjoyed meeting everyone. Being the parent of a "senior" and yet being the first year on the team seemed a bit strange but all the parents were wonderful and made us feel part of the family. What a great group of boys we have.

You may have heard that during practice today (Sunday) that Devon was hit with a ball and was not able to return with the team. One of the coaches is driving him back and he will require surgery to a bone on his face. If any of you have ideas on how to support Devon and his parents, pass them on! Our prayers are with Devon and his parents.

Hi everyone!

It was a pleasure 2 meet all. It was gr8 to see the returning parents again and to meet the new parents of the UR baseball family. Our boys are fortunate, they have a fantastic group of parents supporting them.

We were sadden to hear about Devon. We wish Devon a "SPEEDY RECOVERY". Our thoughts n prayers are with him and his family.

We do have a gr8 bunch of boyz. They work as a "TEAM" so it's in our favor. They pick each other up when they're down. They continue to strive for excellence.

Go-o-o-o Jackets!!!

Mahalo and Aloha,
Mike & Jan

Our prayers and thoughts are with Devon and the Shane family for a speedy recovery.

Our son Andy, had a similar injury with a "pitched ball" during summer ball between his junior/senior year in high school. We understand the situation very well.

Hurry back Dev!!!!

Go Jackets!!
