Ned and Greg played in a wooden summer bat league.  They played for the Syracuse Mets, website above.   Steve Just played in the same league but not on the same team.

Germany update

Just got back from Germany yesterday - Eddie is fine and the team played through 3 splits while we were there. We spent a week in Paris and saw all the sights and spent the rest of the time with Eddie.

Unfortunately, the team needed to win one of the splits and now must win all of their last 4 games and get some help to remain in the league. Realistically, it looks like they will move down one division next year.

Nina says hi, as she is still in Germany until the 28th with Michael!

Winning Never Gets Old!

The Goose (Steve Guzski) finished summer wood bat ball with the Rome T'bolts of the ECBL two days ago. In an important league game vs the Utica Brewers that had implications for the league title he threw a 5-hit shutout and Rome won 3-0. With a couple of teams left to play a couple of games at that point, today he found out that the T'Bolts won the league. They finished 10-4 in the league, and 18-7 overall. For the season Goose was 3-2 with 22ks in 27.1 innings. Most importantly he played, just like at UR, with a great group of guys that really enjoyed each other.

Our younger son, Bryan, leaves for Ithaca College (easy, he's not playing baseball) on August 24. That will start the "empty nest" departures for our family...Beth and I are alittle nervous about being left alone, but excited for the boys.

Hope all is well with everyone. And in the spirit of "Eddie K" I'd say that there are approx 72 days till the Fall Ball game !!! Hope to see you all there.
