BLUE AND GOLD WORLD SERIES TIED AT 1-1

The Blue and Gold World Series is tied at 1 game a piece. The boys were drafted onto a team and now play for bragging rights and a chance to avoid heartbreak hill.

The teams were divided as follows:

Blue - Ryan Sullivan, John Fishback, Mike Kotler, Ned Chanatry, Justin Long, Pat Little, Mike Wexler, Pat Locke, Luke Brocks, Greg Larioni, Dave Kloc, Blair Veenema, Mike Park, Andy Cannon, Steve Just, and Blayne Fuke

Gold - Devin Shane, Pete McEaneaney, Dan Balk, Tyler Reid, Josh Blaine, Matt Hardy, Alex Gamoran, Nick Cacciola, Paul Toland, Dan Brien, Jim Bard, Ed Kahovec, Steve Guski, Nate Stein, and Chris Olsen.

I stopped by for a few innings on Friday and the Klocs also stopped by. The Blue team won by a sizeable margin, I think it was something like 14 - 3. On Sunday, the Gold team got out to an early lead, at one point 8 - 0, but the blue team came back and almost pulled it out, with the final score of 9 - 7. It was a great day, the weather was beautiful, but the sun over Fauver Stadium gave the right fielders some trouble. There was a great contingent of parents, the Kahovecs, Klocs, Fishbacks, Littles, Veenemas, and Mr. Sullivan were all out enjoying the day. I hope I didn't forget anyone.

It was great to see many of the local parents, I hope to see everyone at some point this coming season.

The team is playing a 7 inning game on Friday as part of the series, they play Finger Lakes CC on Saturday, and the series resumes on Sunday.

That's all for now, if anyone has any ideas for the blog, feel free to comment,

Thanks,

Ed
